Be Malleable In His Hands.

"But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand." Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV).

The quickest way to destruction is to allow your heart to be hardened. It is a dangerous state to be. We must remain soft and malleable in His hands. Resolve to remain clay and let him be the potter. The potter has power to make, break, and remake again. We must be willing to be directed, interrupted, disrupted, redirected and sometimes stopped in our tracks.

To be the clay we must hold our lives so ever lightly, and not lean heavily on our understanding. We must be open to correction, rebuke, and reproof. If God will have to use us in any significant way, we must be like soft clay.

Many people are set in their ways. They refuse to let God change them. They have built strongholds and are stuck in own tradition. Many Jews could not receive the gospel of the kingdom because they were stuck in tradition. Listen, do not let what was great yesterday be the enemy of what is awesome today. Truth is dispensational. Animal sacrifices atoned for people’s sins during David’s time. There is new reality now. The Lamb of God, Christ Jesus was offered to die once and for all. We only need to call on His name and believe what He says and we are saved. It is the new truth. Receive it.

Walking with God requires you to be willing to discard the stale instruction of yesterday to enter into new realities today. What God said yesterday is not what He is saying today. And what He is saying today may not be what he will be saying tomorrow. Be in the lookout for fresh instruction, and leading. Be adaptable, be spiritually flexible, and see what the Lord will accomplish through you.

Do not misunderstand; God is the same, and His Word is infallible but His ways and methods are fresh every season. Learn to bend with Him.

Prayer

Father, I pray that you grant me a heart that is soft towards you. May you always, direct and redirect me. Keep moulding me into your image. Break everything that does not look like you. In Jesus name.
