Born of Incorruptible Seed.

"For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God."
1 Peter 1:23 NLT

A Christian is not just someone who mended his ways or turned a new leaf. A believer is someone who has been born again. The new birth is the greatest miracle God has ever performed. A grown human being gets infused with new life and becomes a divine being. We are born again by God's Word. Jesus called the Word, Seed. And this Seed is God's sperm that gives life to the new creation. As human sperm carry the quality and character of the child that will be conceived, God's Word through the gospel gives the born again believer a new quality and character. We have the same quality of the Word-Seed, incorruption.

The New Century Version renders it so clearly, "You have been born again, and this new life did not come from something that dies, but from something that cannot die. You were born again through God’s living message that continues forever. (1 Peter 1:23 NCV). The new life we have comes from something that cannot die. This is amazing. Look at it again in the Radiate New Testament,  "You’ve been born again through the living word of God, which lasts forever. You haven’t been born again from a seed that will die, but from one that can’t die. (1 Peter 1:23 RAD). We must carry the correct consciousness of who we are. We are incorruptible descendants of an incorruptible God. 

The Message translation clarifies it further if you look at the full text into verse 25, "Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself! That’s why the prophet said, The old life is a grass life, its beauty as short-lived as wildflowers; Grass dries up, flowers droop, God’s Word goes on and on forever. This is the Word that conceived the new life in you. (1 Peter 1:23-‬25 MSG). Oh Hallelujah! Refuse to be corrupted by the influences of the world. Just like a programmed computer, do not let anyone corrupt God's programming in you which was brought about by the gospel. We have been programmed by the gospel to live in divine health, do not let that program be corrupted by lies.  We have been programmed to succeed in everything God wants us to do. Through the Word we have been programmed to rule over death and hell, do not let religious lies corrupt the truth in you. By the Word of God we have life and no lie is going to change that. We are incorruptible.
