"Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life."
John 3:5-6 NLT
Nichodemus who was a teacher of the law was stunned by the miracles Jesus performed and came by night to see the Lord and ask questions. In His response the Lord brought up the issue of the new birth. "Unless one is born again He cannot see or enter the kingdom," Jesus said.
We are born again by God's Spirit. We are recreated into the image of Christ. Being born of the Spirit makes us exactly like Jesus for He was born when the Holy Spirit came upon Mary. "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:3 KJV).
Jesus was called the Son of God because He was fathered by the Holy Spirit of God. Being born of the Spirit make us sons of God. "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." (1 John 3:2).
We are just like Jesus not subject to sickness, the curse, poverty, and death. Child of God, you are different. Don't count yourself among the nations of this world. You are in the world but not of the world. You have the Godlife in you. Walk in it and by it.

I am born of the Holy Spirit just like Jesus. I am a child of God not subject to sickness, the curse, poverty, and death.
