BORN OF THE WORD

"You’ve been born again through the living word of God, which lasts forever. You haven’t been born again from a seed that will die, but from one that can’t die."
(1 Peter 1:23 RAD).

Christ has given us a new life and with new life comes a new identity. It is only in Christ that we can be reborn. The Word of the gospel of Christ has given birth to the new creation. We are born of the Word. We are the direct offspring of the Word of God.

This Word that gave birth to us is described by apostle Peter as 'living Word that lasts forever'. According to his revelation, the Word is imperishable, incorruptible, and indestructible.  That is the seed we are made of.

God designed living things to produce after their own kind. Since we are born again from a seed that will not die, it means that we have the seed of immortality in us. We have capacity, ability, and nature to live forever.

It is true that all flesh is as grass and the glory of man is as the flower of the field. The grass withers and the flowers thereof fall away. But we are not born of the flesh, we are born of the incorruptible Word of God.

Our flesh has been made alive by the Spirit, our glory is not like flowers, we carry the glory of God. We are in the world but not of the world. You have power to defy physical death as much as spiritual death because Jesus has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

SPEAK OUT

I am born of the Word that will never die but will last forever. I have the nature, capacity or ability to live forever. I will not physically and spiritually die but I will live to declare the works of the Lord.
