Christlike In Humilty.

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,"
Philippians 2:5‭-‬9 NKJV

Christianity is about Christlikeness now. It is about being born after the image of Christ and living in conformity with that new identity. We live fuller lives as Christians when we pursue Christlikeness in every facet of our lives instead of just waiting to go to heaven after death.

Paul encourages the saints at Phillipi to cultivate Christlikeness in HUMILITY. Philippi was a Roman outpost, the leading city of four Macedonian districts established by the Romans. The citizens of Philippi were considered Roman citizens, and they were very PROUD of this status.

But Paul reminds them that they should have an attitude that Jesus had that even though He was a citizen of heaven and a prestigious member of the Trinity, He humbled Himself and became human. As if that was not enough, Jesus went further and died a shameful death like a criminal.

How do you see yourself? Do you hold on to your sense of self importance? Do you feel the need to assert your own importance? My friend, have the attitude that Jesus had. Pride comes before the fall. Pride hurts relationships, marriages and families.

Your attitude or reaction during or after correction is a pretty good way of measuring the level of your pride. Do you enjoy menial or lowly tasks that include cleaning and serving others? Proud people do not like such tasks but that is where the joy of the kingdom resides- in serving others.

Humility is always rewarded. Jesus humbled Himself unto death and God in response gave Him a name that is above every name and to which every knee should bow of things in heaven, on earth and under the earth. "The reward of humility [that is, having a realistic view of one’s importance] and the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the Lord is riches, honor, and life." (Proverbs 22:4 AMP).

SPEAK LIFE.
As I walk in HUMILITY I am manifesting Christlikeness and I am experiencing the reward of humility which is riches, honor and life.
