Christlikeness Means Living in Victory Over The Flesh.

"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
Galatians 5:16 NKJV

Apostle Paul talks a lot about the flesh and its works. The flesh is the sinful human nature that came as a result of the fall of the first man. Man, unregenerated, is locked up in a state of helplessness to evil desires.

Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh and on account of sin and condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3).  He was clothed in human flesh like all of us, and He was tempted in all points as we are but He remained without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

He conquered the frailties of the human nature. When He died, our old man (sinful human nature) died with Him.  We are now new creatures not controlled by the sinful nature. "Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin." (Romans 6:6 NKJV).

In Christ Jesus, we are no longer slaves of sin for the old man was nailed to the cross. All we need to do now is what Paul said: WALK IN THE SPIRIT.  Remember we are not in the flesh but in the Spirit already because the Spirit of God lives in us. (Romans 8:9).

We have victory over the flesh in Christ. Your life and spirituality should not be controlled by the flesh. Live above it by walking constantly in the Spirit. That is Christlikeness.

SPEAK LIFE.
I am living in victory over the flesh as I walk in the Spirit. The life of God flows unhindered by sin for my old man has died and I am a new creation in Christ Jesus.
