Faithfulness in Service

Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)

10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Serving the Lord through His church is the greatest privilege of a lifetime. It is a privilege because God is the rewarder of those who seek and serve Him. Having an opportunity to serve is like being called into the king's palace to wait on Him.

Serving in the King's presence gives you access to behold His face, His dealings, His ways, and His instructions. People who have dedicated themselves to serving the Lord occupy a special place in the heart of God and are rewarded with access to divine revelation and knowledge.

Everything you do for the Lord and His saints is seen, because the Lord is the rewarder of those who serve Him faithfully. Do not go around looking for a thank you from people when you serve. Jesus said that once you receive praise from people, you will not receive a reward from the Lord.

When you have done your service for God, remember the kingdom attitude Jesus showed us, the one that attracts heavenly rewards:

"So learn this lesson: After doing all that is commanded of you, simply say, 'We are mere servants, undeserving of special praise, for we are just doing what is expected of us and fulfilling our duties.'" Luke 17:10 (TPT)

Remain faithful in serving the saints. Do not let offences stop you from serving. Do not let people's opinions and comments affect your devotion to Him. A place of service is a position of privilege. Serve the Lord with gladness. Usher with gladness. Sing with joy. Clean the house of God with gladness. Whatever is required of you, roll up your sleeves and serve with joy.

Prayer
Thank You, Father, for the privilege to serve You through the church. I receive grace to serve faithfully and with gladness as I look forward to my heavenly reward. In Jesus' name, amen
