His Presence Is Home Part 4. Antidote To Burnout.

| Spiry Tee

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Acts 3:19 NKJV

Many people in the church today have or are experiencing burnout. They feel tired and done. They are emotionally and spiritually exhausted from all kinds of vicissitudes of life including challenges religious.

I have experienced burnout myself but didn't know what it was until later. I felt I did not want to see another church person at that time. I did not want to talk about the running of the church anymore. I was feeling out of steam to continue.

I needed a refreshing. I desperately needed to recover my spiritual breath. I didn't know how, but the Scriptures are quite clear; you need the presence of God to recover your spiritual breath. Times of refreshing come from the presence of God when we repent (change our mind) towards God.

We need to repent (change our mind) from religiosity without relationship. We need to repent from doing church without walking with God. We ought also to repent from doing ministry for God while we are ignoring God. When we seek His presence alone, then times of refreshing will come from that presence of God.

God alive and active among His people is the real revival. If you walk with God and work with Him and not for Him, you will never burn out. Fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit breeds partneship with God.

When you have God as a partner He bears much of the load of life and ministry for He cares for you. His presence breathes life in your personal life and ministry and that is the lubricant you need so that your emotional ball joints won't wear out.

SPEAK OUT
As I spent time with God I am constantly refreshed and renewed. I will not wear out for I partner with God in things pertaining to life and ministry.
