IN THE BEGINNING IT WAS NOT SO.

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. (Mathew 19:8).

When studying God’s Word I love to search for God’s original intent in and about everything in life. I do this because I know that man in partnership with satan has corrupted and twisted God’s plan and design for our lives. It is hard to understand the will of God in today’s world. It is even harder to comprehend the nature of God when surrounded and clouded by so much noise, lies, and painful stories.

The Pharisees came to Jesus to ask about marriage. They were confused about divorce. “Can a man divorce his wife for every reason?” they asked. Moses allowed Jewish men to write a divorce letter and send away their wives; but now the Pharisees wanted to hear God’s original intent with regards to marriage. Jesus pointed them back to the beginning. When marriage was introduced by God, it was for two people and no man including Moses should separate what God has joined together.

Helping you understand God’s original intent concerning your life is part of the work Jesus came to do on earth. In Christ we see that sickness was never part of God’s original idea, for Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil. We also see in Christ that death was not God’s original intent. The Father always wanted us to live and that is why He sent Jesus to raise the dead including the one who was dead for four days.

Poverty, eating the bread of sorrow and sweat, women experiencing unbearable pain during childbirth was never God’s plan. And if it was not God’s plan, it is still not His plan today for he is the same yesterday, today and forever. He said “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” (Mal 3:6).

SPEAK LIFE

By the grace of God I understand the original intent of the Father. He has no pleasure in my death, pain and poverty. He rejoices to see me happy, healthy and strong.
