Is It God, Or Satan, Or We Are Just Plainly Foolish?

|| Spiry Tee

“Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
— Ps 107:17 (NKJV)

One of the most difficult things to do is to blame ourselves for the afflictions we go through in life. We blameshift to make ourselves feel better, and the easiest target to blame when things go wrong in life is God.

Number two on the list is Satan. The third is usually somebody else. The forth one often never comes up in the blame game but is definitely the biggest culprit- yourself

Our own foolish decisions bring us in trouble more often than not. We choose husbands or wives that take away the little peace we were enjoying while single and then we blame God when we even went against counsel to marry our beloveds from hell.

We choose to smoke and blame God when we get lung cancer. We drive at 180km/h and blame everyone else when we get involved in an accident. It's time to stop the blame game and hold ourselves responsible.

When we do, we will repent of our mistakes, and God will come and heal us of our affliction, be it marital, financial, or spiritual.  He will send His Word and heal us (Psalm 107:18-20).

Always remember that affliction precedes error, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.”— Ps 119:67 (NKJV). And healing precedes prayer coupled with repentance.
— Ps 119:67 (NKJV)

SPEAK OUT.

Before I was afflicted I went astray. I repent of my missteps. Dear Lord send your Word and heal me in Jesus Name.
