“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7:37-39).

Life as God designed it was intended to be lived for God and others. When you look at nature you will see that everything in nature is interdependent. Trees need carbon dioxide exhaled by mammals. Flowers do not smell good or bloom for themselves. Honeybees make honey also for us. The sun, moon and stars do not shine for themselves. Everything exists for the glory of God and service to others.

If you believe in Jesus, there is a river of life flowing in your belly right now. Let that river flow to water the lives of others. The God-life in you must touch and affect other people positively. The life of God in you causes you to be selfless and sacrificial in your service to God and others. When a husband’s river flows, it will water his wife and children first. Activities like having sex would be done to satisfy his wife and not just himself. He will sacrifice his time to love and serve his family.

A woman’s river of life will flow to water her husband. She will seek his satisfaction, pleasure and comfort endlessly. Her children will rise and call her blessed for the love, care and sacrifices she make for them. Refuse to live a selfish life. Eternal life forbids selfishness. Eternal life is manifested when we die to self. Apostle Paul said it; “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” (2Co 4:10-12).

Paul and his team sacrificed their comfort for the service of the Lord and life flowed in the direction of the saints. Let the river flow and water the dry places and people all around you.

Out of my innermost being is flowing rivers of living water. I am watering dry places everywhere.
