Not Seeing Results? Check Your Alignment.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

As the year draws to a close, many are taking stock of their lives, and you might be wondering why you haven't achieved your set goals year after year. You're wondering what you could have done better. This message will help you in your reflection.

Consider the following two scriptures: "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19), and "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).

There is a common thread that runs through these two verses: they show clearly what happens when you are in alignment with God. And it is so throughout Scripture.

The Lord says if you want to eat the good of the land, you must be WILLING and OBEDIENT. "Eating the good of the land" will not happen unless you align yourself with this divine prescription.

In his Psalm, David said if you want all your desires to be fulfilled, don't go running helter-skelter looking for ways to fulfill them. Simply align yourself with the set divine ordinance—delight yourself in the Lord. That's all you need.

Results in the kingdom don't come through striving but through spiritual alignment. This alignment is not an "I did this and therefore do that for me" performative religion. It is surrendering all the parts of our lives  to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Remember that it is through surrender to the saving grace of Christ that we are delivered from hell and all the evils that sin brought.

The Lord Jesus in Mathew 6:33 says that if you need food, clothing, and other necessities provided by the Father, stop worrying and seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all your needs will be met without joyless toil day and night. It's as simple as that. It's called alignment.

Alignment in the kingdom means keeping in step with the Word, the Will, and the Spirit of God. Do what the Word says, and you will see results.

God said this with regards to tithing and generosity: "Prove Me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:10).

Will you put the Word to the test in this regard?

If you walk in the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God, there is no good thing the Lord will withhold from you.

Do you want to walk in your inheritance in Christ? It is simple. The inheritance is for sons, and sons of God are those who are led by the Spirit of God. If we are sons, then we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:14, 17).

You want healing? Just believe in the power of God and apply prayer fervently, and you will be well, for the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise them up (James 5:14-15).

Do you want a child? Be like Abraham—show your faith by serving Him. "So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days" (Exodus 23:25-26, NKJV). If you focus on serving the Lord with all your heart, you will not remain barren.

If you have been praying and not seeing results in your life, you need to audit all areas of your life and bring them into alignment.

Are you loving your wife well? That may cause your prayers to be hindered.

Are you honoring your parents with gifts? A hard life might be the result of not honoring parents and taking good care of them. Praying for long life is not enough—honor your parents so that you may live long on earth and that it may be well with you.

Prayer is not always the key to every problem, though it works together with almost all kingdom keys. Alignment with God is the master key to a successful life in the kingdom of God.

Prayer.

Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me the power of alignment. Dear God, reveal to me areas in my life that are out of sync with Your Word, Your will, and Your Spirit, and help me by Your grace to bring them into subjection to You in Jesus' Name. Amen.
