POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS

"But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." — Obadiah 1:17 (NKJV)

It is unthinkable that someone would live like a pauper when they actually possess billions in wealth. Yet in the kingdom of God, we see many of His children living in abject poverty and painful penury. How is this even possible? These are children of God—yes, bonafide offspring of the Most High.

The God who owns the cattle upon a thousand hills. The glorious God who owns the silver and the gold. The Father of our Lord Jesus, who owns the earth and the fullness thereof. That same God has children born of the Spirit who lack bread.

Did not David say, "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread" (Psalm 37:25, NKJV)? Why is this misery happening to God's people? It is out of order for the believer to live a beggarly life when God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (2 Peter 1:3).

But just as with the children of Israel, God does not give you possessions that are free and unoccupied. He gave the Israelites the land of Canaan—a land full of giants, the sons of Anak, the Jebusites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites. And He told them to possess the land. A land full of people.

God expects you to take your inheritance forcefully by faith. You must have the spirit of Caleb. When Caleb heard and saw how beautiful the land God had given them was, he declared, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it" (Numbers 13:30, NKJV).

Rise up and possess your inheritance in God. Refuse to be poor. Be relentless when it comes to possessing your possessions. The devil will try to show you how impossible it is to possess what God has given you, but stand on the promise: "On Mount Zion...the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions."

Confession

I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). I walk in divine prosperity daily. There is no lack in my life, and the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage (Psalm 16:6).
