Superior To Moses

"Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honor and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house [itself]."
Hebrews 3:3 AMPC
We should never be tempted to place Moses and our Lord Jesus Christ on the same pedestal. They are not. We cannot compare the house and the owner of the house. They are in totally different classes. Moses is the creature and Jesus is the Creator. Moses is the servant, Jesus is the Master.
Moses was honored by God no doubt for he was given the privilege of receiving the law from God's hand to give to the nation of Israel. Therefore the Bible says, "The law was given through Moses BUT grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."( John 1:17). Moses brought law, Jesus brought grace and truth.
What's the difference? It's huge. "The law kills but the Spirit gives life" (2 Corinthians 3:6). The law is good, spiritual and holy but it has no capacity to make anyone good, spiritual and holy. It demands righteousness, spirituality and goodness from morally and spiritually bankrupt men. Therefore it is weak through the flesh.
Paul referred to the law as the "ministry of death engraved on stones". There was glory in it but Jesus brought the ministry of righteousness which transcends in glory. The ministry of Jesus provides righteousness instead of demanding it. And if righteousness is granted, life is granted because righteousness leads to life plus, "In the way of righteousness is life and in the pathway thereof there is no death" (Proverbs 12:28).
SPEAK OUT.
The free gift of righteousness and abundance of grace in Christ has granted me life eternal. Hallelujah!!
