Surrender All To Him.

"My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways."  Proverbs 23:26 (NKJV)

Many people wonder why God has not affected or changed their lives since they received the gospel. Stop wondering, the answer is easier than you thought. It’s a simple Word called SURRENDER. Many who claim to have received Christ have not surrendered wholly to Him. They are yet to give themselves unreservedly to His will, plan, purpose and power.

The price for all of God is all of you. The Lord does not accept half hearted devotion. You must give yourself one hundred percent. You must lose your life to Him in order to save it in Him. You must die to yourself and come alive in Him. There is no other way.

Jesus is not an addition in your life. He comes to be first and centre of your life. He accepts nothing but to be the focus of your very existence. Once you let Him be your foundation, author and finisher, beginning and end, the first and the last, then be ready for a whirlwind of changes in your life. He comes to reorganise everything and begins to fix what is broken. He restores what was lost, and replenishes what was depleted. The dry bones come alive. Mourning turn to joy. Ashes become beauty. Exultation supplants the spirit of heaviness. Dry and barren land becomes a fruitful field. Filthiness of spirit turns to beauties of holiness. Radical change!

Jesus is not to be treated like a spare tyre that you think about when you are grounded by the storms and vicissitudes of life. He is not interested in “side chick” or “small house” love affair. He wants to be your husband by covenant. He wants commitment and not a fling. His love is an undying one, one that never fails. It is in your best interest to surrender totally to Jesus. Once you declare Him as Lord (owner), He sends guards and emissaries (angels and the Holy Spirit), to guard and perambulate around His “property” to ensure safety and integrity of His residence (you) is guaranteed. Give yourself wholly.

Prayer

Father I thank you for giving yourself to me in Christ unreservedly. In response to your love and devotion towards me, I surrender my life to you today. Make it what seems good in your eyes in Jesus Name. Amen.
