The Apostles' Doctrine: Sin Is Defeated.

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."
Romans 6:14 NKJV

Sin! The enemy of everything God, the architect of mankind's pain and suffering, and the sting of death. It is everywhere and is a reproach to any people. There is no where in the world where sin is celebrated. Sin is only a game to a fool. Many are bound by sin so much so that they want to do good but there is no performance. They do what they do not want to do. There is a law of sin in their flesh.

The solution is not to read over them as often as possible the ten commandments God gave to Moses. Doing that actually makes it worse. Hearing the law is like a romantic touch to a woman; it arouses all kinds of evil desire. Preaching the law to bring righteousness in a person produces an opposite effect.

Who shall deliver man from this monster called sin in the flesh? There is hope, "For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh," (Romans 8:3 NKJV). Sin was nailed to the cross in the body of God's Son Jesus. Now that we are in Him, we are new creatures and we have the ability to walk in righteousness consistently.

Sin shall not have dominion over us. In Christ we can stop sinning when we want to. John writes by the Spirit, "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." (I John 2:1 NKJV). He would not say that we should stop sinning if it was impractical to do so.

If you think he did not really mean that, see what he says next, "And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God." (I John 3:5‭-‬6‭, ‬8‭-‬9 NKJV).

Sin is foreign in Zion. There is nothing that offends in God's holy mountain. This is the place to which the Lord Jesus has brought us. We should stop accepting religious statements like "everyone sins" in the house of God. Such statements disempower believers to walk in God's righteousness active in their hearts. It is not compulsory that everyone must sin.

If sin is the sting of death and it was defeated, it means that death too has no power to hurt us anymore. Death has been defeated as a result. The Lord Jesus proved it by rising from the dead three days later when decomposition was supposed to set in. He saw no corruption because he condemned sin in His flesh and now the righteousness of the law is manifested in us walking in the Spirit.

SPEAK OUT.
Sin shall not have dominion over me because it was defeated in Christ's flesh. As long as I live under grace, I will experience victory over temptation consistently.
