The Believer's Relationship With Self.

"For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]."
Ephesians 2:10 AMPC

There's too many Christians who don't like themselves.  They hate and despise themselves too much. Some cannot risk being alone and quiet by themselves because they are terrified of their own thoughts, so they have to keep their minds engaged either through music or keeping their surroundings noisy. I sympathize with them. What made them hate themselves like this? Many variables to consider but Jesus is the answer to self hate.

The Bible says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he  is  a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (II Corinthians 5:17). You may have been abused in the past, called ugly names, ridiculed, bullied, made fun of, ostracized for how you look on the outside. Maybe you were raised in an environment that made you feel unworthy of love and admiration but you can't continue on that path by joining those people to hate you. You are in Christ now, things have changed. You are a new creature,  old things have passed away and you must begin to see with the eyes of the spirit that all things have become new.

You are God's beloved child, His object of love and most treasured possession. Zephaniah is clear: "The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17). It matters little who admires you or despises you now. Your Father in heaven sees you as the greatest thing that ever happened on this planet. He loves you personally.  You must begin to join Him in liking you too.

Your identity is no longer in the city you live in, the color of your skin, your educational or family background. Your roots are now in Christ. And in Christ you are accepted in the Beloved. You are an equally important member of His body, His flesh and His bones. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loved you and gave Himself for you. You can do all things through Christ who infuses you with divine strength. You have the mind of Christ, you're intelligent, wise and have quickness of apprehension.  You are of God, you are divine, and the life of God perambulates your whole being.

If we do not adequately receive the love God lavishes on us, it will be hard for us to walk in love towards others because we can only love others out of the measure of love we receive from God. Our relationship with God and others is hinged on how we see ourselves, either through the eyes of the world or through the eyes of God our Father.

SPEAK OUT.
I am a new creation, I have the life of God in me. I love God and others with the same love with which God has loved me.
