The King And The Kingdom
"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." — Colossians 1:13 NKJV
There is no kingdom without a King.
In a monarchy, the King is the most important person. He is the vortex from which everything in the kingdom gets its vibration.
In contemporary democracies, the president is expendable, replaceable — of no consequence without the systems around him. Democracies depend on human-engineered governance and political structures. But the Kingdom is anchored by the character, nature, and abilities of the King.
The kingdom of light to which we have come is headed by Jesus — the Father's beloved Son.
The Kingdom cannot function without Him. It was designed that way for a reason — so that no one would use the name of Jesus as just a passport to get in, obtain the benefits and inheritance of the Kingdom, and then ignore Him once they're inside.
Many assume that once they've come into the Kingdom through Christ, they can now survive and do things without Him. They start looking for principles and neglect the Person. They forget that in the Kingdom of God, no principle works without the Person of the King.
This is why depth of relationship with King Jesus is of paramount importance. Look at it this way: you cannot even enter this Kingdom without knowing the King — He is the door. Nobody comes through without Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
He is the Saviour from sin. He shed His blood for the sins of many. Without His blood, nobody qualifies to enter.
He is also the Head of the economy. He holds the Kingdom's economy in His hands. He promised to be your Shepherd — the One who finds pasture for you. The King says He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.
The King holds all the offices. Everything goes through Him. He is the Defender of the realm — you cannot be safe without Him. He is the one through whom you pray — you cannot reach the Father except through Him. He wants to be your constant companion, your ever-present help in time of need, the One who will never leave you or forsake you.
You see why it's so important to know the King in this Kingdom. Everything revolves around Him. In Him all things consist. He is the head over all things to the Church.
Even after you are saved — keep falling in love with the King. For this Kingdom cannot work without Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me into the Kingdom of light. May I never be so deceived as to think I can live Kingdom life by principles without the Person. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love You, King of Zion. Amen.
