“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)
God told Jeremiah that the Word He put in his mouth has power to root out and pull down, to destroy and throw down, to build and to plant nations and kingdoms. “Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9-10).
The word of God in your mouth is powerful beyond measure. Jesus said to the Jews that His spoken Word was spirit and was life. So the Word gives life. When you listen to the word of God you’re not just listening for do’s and don’ts, life is being imparted to you. We are all products of words. The universe was framed by God’s Word. Nothing exists today without God’s Word.
The Word of God says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22). When you find God’s Word you have found life. Once we find the word what follows is to speak it. Do not speak what you see, speak what God says.
Talk God’s word and see supernatural results for “A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:20-21).
There is life in my mouth as I speak God’s word over my life. I declare that I am healthy, strong, and successful. I declare that I will live and not die to declare the works of the Lord.
