The Resplendent Church.

"That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:27 NKJV

Jesus is coming for a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. He is not coming for a defeated Bride, hiding or retreating away into the shadows.  In these last days, we will see the church taking centre stage, restore ancient foundations and being respected again. This is because "the church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence."  (Ephesians 1:22-23 MSG).

We are the glorified ones. "Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." (Romans 8:30NKJV). We have been called to a life characterised by grandeur, brilliance, magnificence, great beauty and splendor. Do we deserve this life? Yes we do! The Father has qualified us in Christ to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).

The Lord is looking forward to present to Himself and for Himself a glorious church; honorable and gorgeous.  This is the church washed and cleared of her sins, iniquity and guilt. She is not the church ravaged by cancer or other illnesses but victorious over sin, over pain, suffering and death. Even when she suffers for the gospel, the Spirit of glory rests upon her. "If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are  you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified." (I Peter 4:14 NKJV).

Glorious things are spoken of me. (Psalm 87:3).
