The Seven Eyes Of The Lamb Part 5: The Eye Of Knowledge.

| Spiry Tee

"And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord." (Isaiah 11:2 ESV).

There is a kind of knowledge that sets you apart from the rest. It a knowledge that is worth more than the best of things on earth. That is the knowledge Jesus was predestined to have, so that by that divine knowledge supplied by God's Spirit He would justify many. "He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities." (Isaiah 53:11 NKJV). The Spirit of knowledge does not supply the knowledge that puffs up, for it the knowledge for the freedom of others.

Only knowledge used for selfish reasons is what causes pride. Jesus has the Spirit of knowledge but He is the meekest and kindest person you will ever meet, because He uses His knowledge for the blessing of the universe.

There are different kinds of knowledge but there is one that is exclusively for the initiated- the knowledge of God. Only Jesus, because of the Spirit of knowledge, knew the Father intimately; "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father." (John 6:46 NKJV). He said it in no unclear terms "Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word." (John 8:55 NKJV).

It is that knowledge of God that Jesus came to give us, and He did through the Word and supply of the Holy Spirit who is also the Spirit of knowledge. Through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, grace and peace is multiplied in our lives. "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord," (2 Peter 1:2 KJV).

It is only through knowing the Father through His Son that we receive eternal life. "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3 NKJV).

Knowledge is not knowledge until you know the things that matter. Knowledge of science, medicine, commerce, and arts is beneficial but fades in comparison to knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Just like Jesus I function by the Spirit of knowledge. I have knowledge of that which matters- the knowledge of the Father through His Son Jesus Christ.
