The Seven Horns Of The Lamb Part 1: Absolute Power Over Death.

| Spiry Tee

"And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth."
(Revelation 5:6 NASB+)

There is only one person who conquered death and delivered all who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage; His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Born of a virgin, lived a righteous life, was crucified dead and buried. He descended into hell as a prisoner in our place, but on the third day rose triumphantly from the grave.

At a time when decomposition was setting in, the Lord evaded corruption. All historians will tell you that no big names we read about ever did what Jesus did. Resurrection from the dead never to die again. Today, Jesus has absolute power over death.

Most people are afraid of death. Most fears stem from the fear of death. Human beings and all creation alike feel hopeless in the face of death. This death was not always there. It came as a punishment for sin.

The first couple committed sin and death was the judgment, and it was passed on all men born after the first couple. No one could escape, and so it was appointed unto men to die once and after that the judgment.

Thank God for His love for us. He did something extraordinary. "God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life." (John 3:16 GW). He delivered His beloved Son to die so that death's reign of terror over all creation may cease.

All we need to avoid death and the grave is faith in Jesus Christ. If you believe in Him you will not die but have the life of God. The life of God never ends, is never sick, and lacks nothing. This is the image and likeness in which the first Adam was made but lost it through disobedience.

The Lord Jesus was sent as the second Adam to restore the glory of the Godlife the Father intended us to have. Did He accomplish His assignment? Emphatically yes! He did abolish death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

"And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News." (2 Timothy 1:10 NLT).

If you belong to Jesus, know today and always that death has no claim over you. Jesus took your appointment with death and the judgement for your sins, and gave you His righteousness, so you can be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Where righteousness is, death has no claim, for the sting of death is sin.

My Lord has absolute power over death and corruption.  And as He is so am I in this world.
