The Seven 'I Am' Statements Of Jesus Part 6: I Am The True Vine.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser."
John 15:1 NKJV

One of the big themes of John as He records the ministry of Jesus is showing the relationship between the Father, the Son and the saints who believe in the Son. The picture John paints is of oneness with Deity. The Father, the Son, the Spirit, and the church have become one divine being.

The Lord said He was the true vine, the Father is the farmer, and we are the branches in the vine. Believers are connected to Jesus in an inseparable unity that boggles the mind. We are one divine being. The life in the vine flows through us. What's in the vine is what's in the branches.

The power in the vine is the power in the branches.  We do not lack power as long as we are connected to the vine. All we need to do is remain in Him. We should learn to abide. If we abide in Christ and not behave like visitors to Jesus, the life of Christ will keep flowing through to us causing us to produce fruit.

I am one divine being with Jesus. I belong to the true vine and the indestructible life in the vine is flowing through me as well.
