The Seven 'I Am' Statements Of Jesus Part 3: I Am The Bread Of Life.

"And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."
John 6:35 NKJV.

The world is hungry, starving from all kinds of needs. Others are hungry for real food, others are hungry for affection, for good governance, for political stability and freedom. We see thirst for love and intimacy by the growth of the dating sites on the internet. But when we start feeding our needs the worldly way, we discover that our hunger and thirst is like a bottomless pit.

We keep wanting more and more because man was never designed to be fed by earthly things. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God. Jesus is the Word made flesh. He is the one that truly satisfy. Jesus doesn't just give a feel good religious feeling,  He gives us deep and lasting satisfaction and gratification.

We must feed on Christ by listening and reading His Word. He is the bread of life. He is also the water of life. He told the woman at the well of Jacob that, "...whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:13‭-‬14 NKJV).

When you feed on Jesus, He says that you will not die. The Jews ate manna in the wilderness and died but you can't eat Jesus' flesh and blood and see corruption. Feed on His Word, meditate on it day and night and speak it out as it comes from your heart.

SPEAK LIFE.
As I feed on Christ, the life of God flows in and through me.
