These Three: The Father, The Word, And The Holy Spirit.

"For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one."
I John 5:7 NKJV

The nature of God is a mystery. His essence and character is shrouded in mystery, which the Psalmist phrases as "clouds and thick darkness". "Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne." (Psalms 97:2 NKJV).

Mystery is what makes Him God. And part of that mystery is that God is three in one. We call Him the Triune God. This God we serve identifies Himself as the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit. These three personalities are One. He is One person with a tri-fold nature.

We see it clearly when Jesus was baptized at the Jordan river when the three persons of the Godhead were revealed, "When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21‭-‬22 NKJV).

The threefold nature of God is manifested fully; we see the Son (the Word made flesh) being baptized, the Father speaking from heaven, and the Spirit descending on Jesus in bodily form like a dove descends. This is our God, three in one.

And all of them, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, testified of Jesus as the Son of God. Anyone who does not believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God makes God out to be a liar. But He who believes that Jesus is the Son of God has the witness in himself. And this is the testimony that God has given of His Son: "...that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son." (I John 5:11 NKJV).

The scripture continues: "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." (I John 5:12‭-‬13 NKJV).

SPEAK LIFE.
I believe the testimony that the three-in-one God has given concerning His Son. I have received the Son and the Son is life in me.
