"We Want Mortality Swallowed By Life."

| Spiry Tee

"While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life."
(2 Corinthians 5:4 NLT)

Paul was beginning to slither into uncharted territory of the life of the saints when he declared that even though he was groaning he didn't want to die but desired to have his mortality swallowed by life. So is it possible for life to become so dominant in you that mortality will cease? Let's examine it together.

By definition mortality means subject to death. It is a present human condition brought about by the sin of one man Adam. Is there a way out of this condition called mortality? We know that Jesus came to save us from the sin and death brought by Adam. But how far does that salvation go? How much of our debt was paid for the redemption of man from sin and death?

Does the death of Jesus cover man's physical death as well? Is salvation only for the spirit man? Are we saved in installments, whereby Jesus saves us from sin and then He will come and finish what He started at a later date in the sweet bye and bye? These are questions that deserve honest answers.

I believe the work of Christ on the cross was perfect and was once and for all time. Jesus did not only save the Spirit but the total man that includes the soul and the body. That is why even things like healing is part of the package.  If the salvation of Christ reaches the body, why is the church not talking about salvation from physical death as a present hour reality?

I know most people will dismiss this discussion as heresy because some people who spoke about this message died themselves. I think it's preposterous to judge the message on the messenger. Elisha healed people but himself died sick. His bones raised a dead man but could not raise himself from the dead. So was his healings on others fake or was he a false prophet? No. You judge the message by the scriptures.

Exiting the earth without death was proven by Enoch, by Elijah, by Jesus, and at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established. Death is not compulsory. If we walk with God by faith the same way Enoch, Elijah and Jesus did, we can have what they had because God is not a respecter of persons.

Look forward to mortality getting swallowed up by life. I believe when we walk close to this reality and maintain a consciousness of dominion over death just as we maintain dominion mentality over he who had the power of death, that is the devil, mortality will be swallowed up by life. It will happen because of consciousness.

Beloved, a believer's posture is not looking forward to the grave but to the blessed hope which is the glorious appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ from heaven.

SPEAK LIFE.
I don't look forward to the grave but to the coming of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
