What Is The Kingdom Of God?

| Spiry Tee

"For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men."
(Romans 14:17‭-‬18 NKJV)

The kingdom of God is the reign of God over all creation both visible and invisible.  It also refers to the place over which God demonstrates His authority.

When a believer is born again, He is awakened to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Fatherhood of God. A believer is born into the kingdom of God named after His Son Jesus Christ, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love," (Colossians 1:13 NKJV).

It is a spiritual kingdom but it's impact extends to the physical world. The kingdom of God is characterised by righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Where God rules, there is righteousness.  And where righteousness is there is life, "In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death." (Proverbs 12:28 NKJV)

In the place God reigns through Christ there is peace. A peaceful heart is one of the hallmarks of a regenerated soul. If you are in the kingdom,  you can have supernatural peace in the midst of turmoil and sorrow. A marriage or relationship that is submitted to the authority of God in Christ is very peaceful.

Wherever you see joy, you must know that God is in the room.  In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures evermore (Psalm 16:11). The Lord seeks our joy above everything.

In a nutshell, when we call people to come into the kingdom of God we are calling them into righteousness that gives life, into peace with prosperity, and into joy unspeakable and full of glory by the Holy Spirit. If you are searching, just call on Jesus to come into your heart, He always carries with Him righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

SPEAK LIFE.
I am a citizen of the kingdom of heaven. I have righteousness that gives life, the peace of God and the unspeakable joy in the Holy Spirit.
