You Were Justified.

"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
I Corinthians 6:11 NKJV

In the book of Romans 3 verse 20, the Bible says, "Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Romans 3:20 NKJV). So how are we justified if our works will never satisfy the eyes of Divine Justice no matter how we try?

Apostle Paul is clear that we are "...justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," (Romans 3:24 NKJV). Paul continues to argue that "...a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law." (Romans 3: 28)

What does being "justified" mean? Being justified simply means being declared not guilty of sin. According to God's standard everyone sinned and fell short of the glory of God. And to come back from that fall was impossible with self effort. We needed a Savior who never knew sin, had no sin and never committed sin.

Jesus was God's specimen. Born of a virgin (no stained human blood), grew up innocent, and died as our ransom so that we can be free. We are declared free of guilt of sin because someone bore our sins on the cross. Our punishment was put on the righteous Man Jesus Christ so that we can go free. Today, God is righteous in declaring the sinner righteous because the righteous One was declared a sinner for us.

This was God's master plan to bring life back to earth. Sin is the cause of death, and it was a painful thing for God to watch His creation which He loves so much groaning in pain under the bondage of corruption. Man could not come back from the fall by himself, so Jesus had to die that God might pass over the sins that were previously committed.

Today we are free from the condemnation of sin and therefore free from death. Paul puts it succinctly, "There  is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
(Romans 8:1‭-‬2 NKJV)

SPEAK OUT.
I have been declared righteous by faith in the finished work Jesus Christ and therefore death-free.
