Your Devotion Will Be Rewarded - Pastor Tee
"But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!” 2 Chronicles 15:7 (NKJV)
The Bible says “ And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9 (NKJV). There is nothing you can do for the Lord that will go unnoticed. God sees labours wrought in sensitive quarters. Even though done in secret, the Lord rewards openly. We only need to keep hard at work on the assignment God has given to us.
The house of God is an opportunity to serve the Lord diligently. The church has many needs from cleaners to preachers, administrators to missionaries, those who mop the floor to kingdom financiers. Those who have served in any capacity in the church have seen the vastness of the needs in the house of God.
In the end only few people bear the burden of the ministry continually. But it must not be so. It can be tiring, but we should not slack, lose heart or allow our hands to be weakened because there is a reward ahead.
There are many factors that weaken those labouring in the fields of the Lord. Some of those factors include discouragement from onlookers. The Bible shows us that whenever God is doing something through others, there are detractors. During Nehemiah’s time, the Tobiahs, Sanbalats, and Geshoms stood up to stop them from building the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2)
Gossipers will backbite, mockers will speak reproachfully, storms of life will rage just to stop you from serving God. Whether you are broke or in abundance, serve the Lord enthusiastically. Whether you are sick or well, the gospel must be preached in season and out of season, and as you do, you will by no means miss your reward.
Prayer.
Father I pray for myself and all who’re working in different fields in the kingdom that none of them will faint. Give them strength in adversity, give them peace in trials, and fortitude to withstand all vicissitudes of life as they dedicatedly serve the Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
